As a team passionate about transforming Seattle homes, we at Blue Water Design Build are thrilled to share some exciting news: we brought home not one, but two awards at the 2025 Remodeling Excellence (REX) and Trades Remodeling Excellence (T-REX) Awards! This unforgettable event, hosted by the Remodelers Council of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties, took place at the breathtaking Chihuly Garden and Glasshouse – a fitting venue to honor the artistry and craftsmanship in our industry.
A Night Among the Region’s Best
The REX and T-REX Awards are a highlight of the year for remodelers like us. As proud members of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties, we look forward to this event as a chance to connect with peers, celebrate innovation, and recognize the best in remodeling. With over 4,300 members in our local chapter, the competition is always fierce, and the standards are high.
Our Wallingford Project: A Labor of Love
This year, we submitted our Wallingford project in the “Major Remodel Over 2,000 Square Feet” category. Out of six talented finalists, our project was selected as the winner-a true honor considering the caliber of work in our community. The Wallingford remodel was a collaborative effort, reflecting our commitment to creative solutions, meticulous craftsmanship, and client-focused design.
Best in Show
Winning our category was already a thrill, but the excitement didn’t stop there. Our Wallingford project was then elevated to compete for “Best in Show,” a recognition reserved for the very best of the best. When our name was called as the winner, we were both humbled and overjoyed. This award is a testament to the dedication and talent of our entire team, as well as the trust our clients place in us.

The REX and T-REX Awards are judged on criteria like aesthetics, design innovation, quality of workmanship, materials, and the ability to overcome project challenges.
