This home in the Central District proved to be challenging with a basement that had severe water issues. This is common in many older homes but can be resolved and give the homeowner back the living space to enjoy.
Under the decades of neglect this home had character, we just needed to find it and bring it back to life. The fireplace and moldings in the living room are original and have been restored, where we could salvage parts of this house we did. And added characteristics of the home back where we could. The dining room now has new shiplap, but the built-in display cabinet is original and restored, old and new blended together.
The kitchen works out great for multiple chefs, and with the master suite on the main floor along with a guest bedroom and full bath this living area functions nicely for a family.
The lower lever offers another two bedrooms, laundry closet and family room.
